Personally, I have a few offices where I work regularly and I have HP
Laserjet multi-function printer/scanners in each location. These work
perfectly for what I do. I use the cups packages from Debian to
interact with all of them. I try to avoid the Inkjet printers, I find
that if I buy the Laserjet models there are minimal problems.

Can you please comment further on the problems you faced? Which Linux
distribution do you use? Did you make any bug reports or ask for help
on any mailing lists?

SpanDSP offers low-level code for T.38

You can find a lot of documents about using Asterisk and FreeSWITCH with
spandsp / T.38. Personally, I have not done any projects with the
latest versions of either project so I don't want to comment
extensively, it may be better to ask on one of their mailing lists.
